Imbolc at Summerland 2007

Payment and pre-registration- We will be set up to accept Paypal via email. We will also be accepting Money Orders and Bank checks, and personal checks.  Pre-registration will be nessesary for discounted gate fee! Email us at Mtmage@msn.com with any questions.  We will have flyers with festival info on them at the gate. Registration is not required but we ask that everyone planning to attend to please register with us so that we may have a fairly accurate head count, and we can speed you through the gates! Payment at pre-registration will be less than paying at the gate. Pre-Registration will end on January 31st, 2007, after which the entrance fee will be the same as paying at the gate. Payments must be received by February 9th for Pre-Registrations!!!

Camping is primitive but many beautiful sites to choose from. Summerland has hot showers and Port-a-potties! Please let us know in advance if you are planning to bring a camper or RV....

Food- Please bring your own food to this event for yourself and your family.  And please bring camping stove, cooking and eating utensils.

Volunteer service- everyone 18 years and older will be asked to volunteer for a 2 hour volunteer service. There will be a number of choices including registration, clean up, heralding, fire tenders, Tiki torch fluid fillers etc.

Venders-We are now accepting venders for this festival.  If you are interested in vending please fill out the forms on our registration page. There is limited space for electicity in venders row, this will be on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. All venders must pre-register!  Venders will be waved from the 2 hour volunteer service.

We are seeking Performers, Artists, Readers, Authers or anyone that would like to hold a workshop or class- Please email us @ mtmage@msn.com prior to January 31st, 2007 and we will list you in our flyer and website.

What to Bring- Camping gear & clothes for all kinds of weather, coolers, camping stoves, cooking utensils, garbage bags, plenty of water to drink, lightsticks, food, drums, bug spray, flashlights(with extra batteries), ritual/festival clothing, ice, tarps, first aid kit, fuel for laterns & stoves, alter supplies, spending money, a great attitude!!!

What not to bring- pets, bad attitudes, fire arms, illegal substances, violence and inappropriate behaviors.

Childern are always welcome as long as they are with a parent or legal guardian. Children must be supervised at all times.

Astronomy Of The Night Sky workshop to be presented by Linda Jacobson.

Be sure to bring the kids for the night sky viewing!  

 

Local astronomy gal Linda Jacobson will have an 8” Celestron telescope and large Celestron 25x100mm Deep Sky Binoculars available for your viewing pleasure the New Moon evening of  February 17th.  Saturn will be visible after sunset and by late evening, when the planetary viewing begins, should be well placed over the cypress and pine for observation.  Nothing elicits ohhs and ahhs like a first time viewing of Saturn and its ring system!  The big binoculars will show you breathtaking 3 degree views of the Milky Way. Linda tends to park herself out by the equipment all evening to cater to those of you interested in observing what the sky has to offer, or to just sit and “talk shop” about telescopes, observing or whatever else is on your mind.   

 

Linda has been involved in local Astronomy since 1979.  She has instructed programs for adults and children through the adult education system of ECC in previous years.  She is a past member American Astronomical Society and appears in Marquis Who’s Who Science and Engineering for her work in Astronomy education.  She appears in a chapter of  “The Florida Night Sky: A Guide to Observing from Dusk Til Dawn” by Elinor DeWire.  Further information about Linda may be found at her website   http://www.astronomygal.com  She is a local Witch hailing from Lehigh.

We have a variety of vendors offereing wonderful natural and magickal goods including: Herbs, Oils, Incense & burners, Dreamcatchers, Jewlery, Mead, Soaps, T-shirts, Drums, Hemp Jewlery, and much, much more!!!

Shorty Palmer will be onsight vending the FINEST Ivory Coast drums that you will find....he is also doing a workshop on "re-heading your djembe"
